Welcome.......
It is an honor to serve as Weymouth Rotary Club’s 87th President following in the footsteps of many great community leaders. It will be my privilege to serve as President leading our Club forward towards the vision of our future.
The theme for the 2010-2011 Rotary year is “Building Communities Bridging Continents”. Our International President Ray Klinginsmith has explained this year’s theme as describing Rotary to non-Rotarians while validating our work for Rotarians. He has emphasized sharing Rotary’s core values in our communities while maintaining the “spirit” of Rotary. He encourages Clubs to evaluate their traditional methods, adopt best practices and begin new traditions.
Our Club has just completed the Club Visioning process, which has inspired the development of our strategic objectives and goals for the next 5 years. It will be my goal to navigate our Club through its inaugural year of implementing our Strategic plan. This undertaking will involve all Rotarians in keeping the Rotary theme of continuity, consensus and consistency.
The success of our Club’s history has been accomplished through the efforts of many Rotarians completing the many projects they have undertaken. Working together we can continue to have the Weymouth Rotary Club recognized as one of the leading Clubs in our District while continuing to service those in our community less fortunate.
I look forward to working with all of you while having some fun Building Communities Bridging Continents.
Robert M. Pineau
